    Yup. A mixture of all of those things, to varying degrees.

    What it really all boils down to in the end is that most churchians, especially their leaders, fear and respect the power of the secular state more than they fear and respect the power of God.

    “… church leadership … had already begun aligning itself to power …”

    “Come here, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.” And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints,

    So let me get this straight, the churches committed immoral acts with the powers of this earth. I am Shocked, SHOCKED! to hear of the church selling herself to the powers of this world.

    I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;

    The deception is that everyone thinks that is referring to somebody else’s church. Not realizing that all are whoring daughters of the Mother of Harlots and all have gone astray, each unto its own way, blasphemously claiming to be the faithful bride of Christ as they twerk for this world’s attention in this lawless generation produced by offering ineffectual emasculated bullshit instead of the narrow way of God, which has been hidden from those whores who lie and claim to be faithful to Christ.

    Megan Basham’s new book details how many Evangelical leaders went astray for the:

    1. Desire for status and acceptance by CNN, the New York Times, Washington Post, etc.

    2. Funding from George Soros, Pierre Omidyar (founder of eBay and a Buddhist), the Hewlitt Foundation, and the Rockefellers.

      I’m looking forward to reading Megan Basham’s book. I suspect it will be revelatory in some ways, and in others simply confirm what we already knew.

    One thing people seem to not know is most of these denoms are part of the National Council of Churches which is a lib lobby group and your tithe is paying a tithe to them. And they lobby for immigratation, reparations, and gay. Just paying your tithe is defeating you. My church is a loose affiliation of congregation that eschews all organization that would pool money upwards so not a member.
