Raise minimum wage, make childcare costlier, drive some wives/moms out of the workforce, back home!

12 Feb

Win-win! 🙂

Whatever the Heritage Foundation doesn’t think should be done, oughta be done; whatever they think oughta be done, ought not to be done.

With traitorous neo-cons, that should be the default reaction to any of their stupid / wicked advice.

I have very mixed feelings about the minimum wage being raised, Back in 1999, one of the first things the new Governor of California did was raise it. The weekend it went into effect, everybody and his brother hit us up for boxes for moving. All the landlords had jacked up the rent, by at least enough to gobble up the raise. The tragic part was that no one was working for minimum wage. It would not cover rent.
There is something else. People who are working cheap jobs have no control over their productivity. Employers complain that these positions would have to be eliminated, but it is the employers who structure the business with hobbles to employees to be productive.
As for child care, it should not be bottom end employment.

I have some concerns, but if the neo-cons are agin it, on feminist principles, I’m for it. 😉

I think that what Trump was doing was having the best effect. Of all the politicians I have seen in my life, he was the only one to reduce costs by eliminating red tape. The big problem with being poor is living at the margins, which are slim.

“As for child care, it should not be bottom end employment.”

If child care paid more than other jobs, women working those other jobs couldn’t afford child care. What little economy of scale daycare centers provide is eaten up by taxes, rent, utilities, etc.

In third-world countries, the people who make things we buy at Walmart leave their children with grandparents, or just have lots of kids and let Darwin sort them out.

Then strong and independent women would have to be dependent on beta male men which is the worst injustice in the history of the world.

The Heritage Foundation was once pro-family.

No, the Heritage Foundation has ALWAYS been neocon, which means it has ALWAYS been inherently anti-family.

      True enough.

Neo-cons used to at least pose as pro-family, though.

I suppose we can be thankful that the mask has been pulled off.
