The image is a rather flattering depiction of a Red Indian woman and I cannot see why anyone of Red Indian heritage would object. When I was a kid cowboys and Indians were a thing, but TV dramas and films were never about cowboys versus Indians but always to do with good whites fighting bad whites. The Red Indians were incidental but they (and the squaws) were always portrayed very respectfully as brave, honest, resourceful, and so on, and frequently deceived and betrayed by bad whites.
For this reason I can’t imagine why they prefer to be called “Native Americans” – if indeed they do, I’ve only ever met one here in the UK – since that conjures up alcoholism, domestic violence, general lethargy, whereas “Red Indian” makes me think of brave and honourable warriors. (All bullshit I know but still.)
