Time to bust out Rush-Bastille Day?

    I’ll save the popcorn.

Saw funny YT video title, why was Fwance so useless in WWII?

Maybe losing a generation of men in WWI had something to with it.

The Desert Fox Rommel made his name there in 1940 as he ran circles around their generals and tactics.

The CHAR-B was actually a good heavy tank for the time but you have to have good commanders and tactics and the early Panzer IV with short barrel 75mm was better.

Poland is building a new Maginot Line near Belarus in the never learn from history department.

As they say in Fwance…allahu ackbar.

The pit of my gut says Marine has sold out and will flip once in office, just like Meloni did in Italy.

Yes, that shit needs to stop RIGHT NOW.

All of the Western World needs Far-Right parties running gynophobic campaigns. Specifically they need to point to Eastern Europe and Asia for examples how male leadership = stability (and how the few recent exceptions to androcentric political leadership have been disasters [e.g., in Serbia, Taiwan, and Thailand).

There are more than enough examples in the West of how estrogen fuels Clown World.

I’m not Canadian, but isn’t this Trudeau’s playbook? Snap election after a poor showing to stop populist momentum?

That’s right; everywhere that has a Parliamentary system but where the PM has too much power, there’s the potential for, and oft happens, such completely legal shenanigans, appallingly.

Whereas in Britain, the PM has much less power – look how many they’ve run through in a decade, they keep getting deposed from within as well as without – but alas, the tyranny chugs along nevertheless.

It seems that if there doesn’t turn out to be a direct nuclear conflict between NATO and Russia the rest of the future of the world will be a slow burn of tyranny with nothing ever happening to check it. What old book or movie or whatever it was predicted the future would be a jackboot stomping on the people’s face forever? It seems that will be the future if nuclear war doesn’t manifest.

This video contains some interesting thoughts, especially this IMHO-that there could be method to Macron’s madness. He apparently had no reason to call an election, yet in doing so has profited by splitting the Right and uniting the Left.

Which got me thinking, why not extend that idea a bit? Maybe what’s happening in France could be part of a plan that includes the British and hell, why not even the US elections? All in 2024.
