But:
Hungary previously prolonged a state of emergency for several years when it extended measures instituted in 2015 over fear of mass migration, despite a decrease in the number of migrants coming to Hungary.
And that was necessary for Orban to save Hungary from the fate of the rest of Europe since the million migrants flooded Europe.
So I’d give him the benefit of the doubt.
I see he’s gotten flack from the E.U. over this.
Now would be the perfect time to take Hungary out… 🙂

The thing is such a personality has to be instilled during the teen years of the Princes. Afterwards the behavioral patterns get fixed or become hard to change.

Why any nation would WANT to be part of the EU in this day and age utterly escapes me, especially where Eastern European countries are concerned. I believe it was last year that Switzerland, which had been contemplating applying for EU membership for several years (Dear God, WHY?!), flat out decided it it was no longer interested.
May many other European nations join Orbán and Hungary in raising their middle fingers at Brussels.
