Not as surprised as you might think: remember, I’m Canadian, and so I live in a country that has a comprehensive welfare state, gun control, and far less freedom than America has.
I know how attractive security and comfort can be to people.
Heck, they are attractive to me.
Yet I’d rather have more freedom, as America does. 🙂
