Omg *the* Siamese twins
— ib (@lndian_Bronson) May 25, 2023
Yup!! At least one of the two had a son who fought for the Confederacy
— caroline mccarthy š¦ (@caro) May 25, 2023
Wouldnāt both of them have had that son? Because of the anatomy?
— ib (@lndian_Bronson) May 25, 2023
Apparently not! They were joined at the liver in a way that today would be considered easy to separate through surgery. Looks like each of them had a son who served in the war, and those sons are genetically considered to be first cousins.

One of chang's descendants almost became governor of Florida in 2010https://t.co/7qX8uhwH8S

Yes, Chang and Eng’s story is very well known – or should be, but most people are ignorant of history.
By the time the Civil War broke out, the twins were wealthy enough to have stopped touring and had retired to their South Carolina plantations (their wives were Southern Belle sisters). Unfortunately, they invested their fortunes in the Confederacy, which ruined them financially after the South’s defeat and they had to go back into business touring again.
With the New Woke Order, will Chang and Eng now be vilified, their victim status as exploited Asian freaks of nature trumped by the fact that they were wealthy owners of black slaves?

Ever wonder how the two conjoined twins engaged in marital intimacy with the two sisters?
Not much privacy, just saying… š

Also wondering if they slept four to a bed… š

Or maybe a king bed for the conjoined twin brothers, and a single bed for each wife/sister, except when intimate. š

Don’t tell me you didn’t think these things; only I had the poor taste to bring them up, publicly. š

The logistics had to be complicated, but where there is a will, there must be a way. š
