Why would she think this would get her ex to contact her? Jealousy? If anything, it’s a “stay away” sign. There’s something evil about her thinking and she’s projecting that onto him. That’s probably why he wants nothing to do with her.

They could write a great country song about this. But it would have to be from the dude’s point of view, because no woman performer would be able to inhabit the song, to either handle making fun of herself to the bathic degree necessary for a comedic take, or coping with the nihilistic existential overload of a tragic one.. Female dignity makes embracing dark comedy impossible, and female fragility makes expressing tragedy difficult..
I have never once felt the urge to contact a former girlfriend when I hear she’s married someone else.. What man in his right mind would debase himself spiritually by responding to this nonsense? Garth Brooks, I guess.. Which just goes to show that Garth is a total gamma.
