Man shoots and kills wife after she posted about their divorce

25 Jul

As Electric Angel commented when he shared this story with me, “Even Muzzies have problems with women on the TikTok”:

A man traveled more than 700 miles to his ex-wife’s Chicago, Illinois, home and shot her dead in a murder-suicide after she wrote about their relationship woes on TikTok, according to reports.

Sania Khan, 29, and her former husband, Raheel Ahmad, 36, were both found with gunshot wounds to the head in her Windy City condo last week, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The pair were married less than a year and divorced in May. Ahmad, of Alpharetta, Georgia, traveled to Illinois last week before the violence exploded.

Khan, a Pakistani-American photographer, had frequently described the pressures she faced in seeking out a split with Ahmad.

“Going through a divorce as a South Asian woman feels like you failed at life sometimes,” she wrote in one post. “The way the community labels you, the lack of support you receive, and the pressure to stay with someone because ‘what will people say’ makes it harder for women to leave marriages that they shouldn’t have been in to begin with.”

She wrote that her family exerted pressure on her to keep the union intact — with some even threatening suicide if she refused.

Of course, in a sane world, such people and/or their parents would be still in the subcontinent and not be the West’s problem…

It’s just too easy for women to do this and it is encouraged from all corners. They were married less than a year. Let us presume no kids and no community property. No alimony. But she still has to shame him on social media. Bad idea.

Very bad idea, given the men of that community.

Maybe if replays of the scenario in the OP become more common (i.e. increasing numbers of women begin to suffer ugly repercussions for their reckless behavior) women will think long and hard before doing it.

These women also need to think long and hard about what will happen to law enforcement if the Green economic implosion they want comes to pass.

This guy drove seven hundred miles to take revenge. I don’t know what she put on social media, but he had to be furious. This went well beyond leaving the toilet seat up.
