I think that Japan was the first nation to go for “no questions asked” abortions. This was in the wake of exposed to radiation in Hiroshima and Nagasaki giving birth to deformed babies. It’s a Japanese thing, they can’t deal with deformity.
This is an argument where there can be no compromises. It is now about convenience for women. The Japanese point is moot.
