Look, I like all different genres of rock music, but they are different genres.
I hate that my generation’s (X) music, the last distinct rock genre before pop music went completely geh / minority / female, now gets lumped into the ‘active rock’ or ‘classic rock’ mix.
Sheesh.
At least on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, there will always be Lithium and Turbo.

I’m not surprised. The other day I tuned in to an oldies station, and they were playing all 90s music. Nothing from the 50s-80s was in evidence.
You know you’re getting old when all the music you grew up with is too ancient even to make the oldies playlists.

For all of his endearing folk wisdom and cynical humor, Rooney had an entrenched left-liberal political bent that only grew worse and more obnoxious as he aged. By the time he retired (he must have been in his late 90s by then) he had become unlistenable/unwatchable (by which time I had long since stopped watching 60 Minutes anyway).

I happened to see a few seconds of a segment Rooney did on US Sixty Minutes in Australia many years ago. He was touting for the use of tracking devices on dementia patients. He seemed like a surveillance state shill to me.
