Families are God’s idea

25 Jul

I agree, but BAP is a pagan, so he misses the right reason for families:

Because we Christians are, as God’s people, enjoined to “Be fruitful and multiply”.

The goal should be to serve God faithfully; not to raise families just for political reasons.

Politics is a means to various ends, and it ought not be an end in itself.

“Politics is a means to various ends, and ought not to be an end in itself.”
That is true for sane people, but Democrats have gone overboard. Look at immigration, all to get more people to vote Democrat for one generation.

There is method to their madness, alas; it does work…

It is working for them in the short term.

“The best thing anyone can do for society is get married and raise a strong family. Wisdom from @DennisPrager”

I’ll just assume that he’s ignorant of Prager’s personal history. Otherwise there is no way he’d ever be citing Prager as a positive example of family values.

Having a family is the most fundamental political act. Politics is pointless without collective survival. Collective survival for mortal individual components requires reproduction. The family is the optimal social structure for reproduction.

All true, yet having families still ought to be done for its own sake, not for political reasons.

The positive, and political benefits of family formation, are downstream from the act of family formation itself… 🙂

Loveless Political marriages are the bane of the intention of marriage and family as God intended.

People might online point out the political implications of having a family but in the real world I don’t think anyone has a family for this reason. I slightly enjoy the fact that my children are a big, fat f_ck you to the feminists and leftists but I didn’t have them for that reason.

        Exactly, cameron.

Fortunately, I think the kind who wouldn’t have a family primarily for love and God and only for political reasons, are not so likely to end up marrying, paradoxically (but thankfully).

I wish I could say that I am such a godly man that I had them for the love of God. My father was an extremely good, loving father who gave me a sense of ideal, loving family life. He’s the reason why I had so many kids. I know God makes all things possible, all things are a gift from God, etc. of course.

Fathers are very important. I’m sure that’s part of God’s will.

Well, God is love; family formation is God’s plan, but I’m sure it’s okay if you marry for love of the other person, primarily 🙂
