Carter remains a much better man than Clinton, Bush, Obama, or Trump ever were. He’s so far removed from Biden it isn’t funny.

Not that being a good man makes a great President. But he talked about committing adultery in his heart when looking at another woman, and I think he meant it.

If Biden HAD done that, I’d be thrilled with him. Because I know the 80s and the 90s are following. He’s brought us back to 1921 as his Bolsheviks take over the economy. What’s up next is actual killing purges, impoverishment, and cultural collapse. Even worse than the USSR.

The 70s were worse than the 60s. The 80s were better than the 70s, an the latter 90s were the last real booming economy America is likely to see. I’d guess that the 70s would be an improvement over both the aughts and the teens, and almost definitely the 20s.

I pity the youth of today. We seem to be headed to a dark age: when the memory of what was lost is lost.

But the day that any MBA gets a bullet is also coming. That will be a great day.

The difference between Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden is an unbridgeable chasm. To begin with, Jimmy Carter knew that he was in trouble and had to fix things.

      True; Joe knows jack.

Biden’s a low-rent grifter who pulled off the ultimate con. Carter is an engineer, which means unable to lie, which means bad politician. Just like Hoover, for that matter. He is the last WW2-era President, and when he is gone our “senior statesman” will be … Bubba.

Carter really was the last President I found believable. Reagan, a bit. Ford, also. Since Reagan, they’ve all been liars, except some tell the lies we like.

Biden’s probably the most honest we’ve had in a while. He said he was going to screw us, and he screwed us. I don’t like what he has done, but I cannot claim he didn’t say he was going to do it.

If Carter knew he had to fix things, he didn’t know how.
He may have been personally ritually pure, but he struck me as quite the Pharisee.

Joe certainly doesn’t know that his figureheadship is returning the USSA to the 1970s. Even if he did, he’d probably express nostalgia for them.
