I can’t understand it. It is just bad business. It is not going to help them sell burgers. It will encourage attendance at dirt track ovals and make more people engage in amateur racing.

Government subsidies and federal aid are quite profitable however, and a much more steady income, which is why they show their loyalty to the US State department and the unofficially official state religion of Progressivism.

So long as the TreasureFed has a money printer, and the money has value.

They should have stuck to selling burgers.

The people who run NASCAR are more concerned what their peers will think at the cocktail parties. In their dreams, the hicks and rednecks who founded, built and patronised NASCAR all go away and are replaced with trannies, blacks and women.

There remains no institution in the West which is safe from the new religion.

I think this is a win-win for the left. If people still watch, they get to spout their propaganda. If people stop watching, then they get to destroy a very American sport.

Think mainline churches. They’re happy if they’re spouting Woke crap or if anyone with a brain stops attending.

Well, it kind of backs up the Catholic principal of subsidiarity. Any play organized at too large a level will get converged. Smaller cells of play cannot easily or profitably be converged.

So the papacy isn’t converged? Could have fooled me.

Of course the minute that anyone attempts to form a new league to compete with NASCAR, one that stays true to both the sport’s roots AND its fans’ sensibilities, it will mysteriously and inexplicably run into all kinds of legal and regulatory roadblocks.

Bring back racing to the locals and a few places that have been boarded up. Make Saturdays Great Again

      Yeah! Local sports, good!

Bigger than that, goes too Corporate and Woke.
