I hope that it does become an issue for reelection. These things, once up, stay up forever. Bill Clinton started the inland border checks and they don’t stop any illegals, but they do stop some drugs when dogs are used.

There are inland border checks in the US? I have never seen any. Are they mostly in the south?

The closest thing to “inland border checks” are the DHS’s CBP checkpoints on random highways near the southern border. Obnoxious and of “questionable” Constitutionality (not, of course, that anyone in power gives a shit about the Constitution).

Because it’s impossible to hide meth labs in Western Australia, a state almost four times the size of Texas, the world’s second-largest sub-national jurisdiction after Russia’s Sakha Republic.
