I like to tell my wife that if the economy ever collapsed and food shortages ever became a thing, these vegan lunatics would be the first to run into a pasture and tear a cow’s throat out with their teeth to stop the hunger. They may think their fashionably restrictive diets are grounded in noble principles, but they depend entirely on there being a massive surplus of food. Only possible in the most decadent of societies.

      Yep.

I had a couple friends who went to live in Turkey for a year; she had been a vegetarian before, but came back a meat-eater. Reason why, was they couldn’t get vegetarian food reliably there.

I don’t think that any of these weak soyboys would survive a mortal battle against a cow.

I knew there was a reason why KFC sucked and why I haven’t set foot in one in nearly 30 years.

Harlan Sanders must be thrashing about in his grave.

It will save NO chickens. The chickens not eaten will simply not be grown. Those chickens will not exist. Granted, those non-existent chickens will not also be slaughtered. A loss, overall: chickens are funny and delightful creatures, and seem to like being chickens.

This is true, and something vegetarians and vegans never consider.

How many chickens exist in the wild?

      None.

How many cattle exist in the wild?

      None, pretty much.

Best way to preserve a species? And to make sure new ones of it are born?

      Farm it! 🙂

We are getting close to the time of year when turkeys wear signs that read, “Eat more ham.”

Why is it that vegetarians can get on their high horse about us eating meat and we can’t make fun of them?
