It is funny, but I don’t think that Indians are laughing.

      I don’t think so, either.

I thought to link a clip of Pontiac urging war in 1763, but it would fall flat. It isn’t funny.

    Unmitigated disaster. The poor Indians.

For those of us with historical knowledge and a belief in Providence, the Native American’s sense of humor or lack thereof is inconsequential. The notion of confiscation and settling lands through conquest as an illegitimate act is a relatively new phenomenon.

It’s also not as if the Natives weren’t inflicting the same behavior on rival tribes. It’s time to do away with this nonsense of trying to undo or denounce, based on postmodern norms, what was historically accepted worldwide centuries prior. And yes, that includes slavery, which has been abolished in the Western world yet thrives in other parts of the globe, while woke Westerners ignore the latter and focus on the slavery that ended in America 160 years ago.

Indeed; in response to the above someone shared a Stone Toss cartoon that is very much on point with your observation re: natives doing the same thing to their rival tribes:

Also, that graphic of the white woman reminded me of a recent (and controversial!) monologue by Bill Burr. Not sure if you covered it here over the past few days, but he wasn’t wrong:

A lot of Bill Burr’s humor is about afflicting the comfortable. Karen is a legitimate target.

        Exactly.

        We’ve posted him here before.

I missed that, but I like Bill Burr, that would have been great to watch! I hope to watch some clips from that.
