Hadn’t considered it, but so very true

12 Sep

When I was young, we all knew child molesters were scary and bad.

Calling them pedophile, as if they (from the Greek etymology) loved children, was the first step on the road to normalizing that aberrant, perverted, sick, evil, twisted behaviour.

It’s also too bad the term pederasty has fallen out of favour, because that, like child molester, contained more stigma than pedophile does.

Great point. My wife points out that some of them should be called child rapists since they do more than touch children inappropriately.

When I was a kid people would refer to a creepy guy you suspected of that as a “Chester the molester.”

“Child raper” or “baby raper” is even more powerfully repulsive.

Somebody has a twisted moral compass at Facebook.
If Facebook got serious about shutting down these people, it might slow them down, a lot.
