Are we in prison, the military, or military prison?

14 May

We are referring to our current condition as ‘lockdown’; and our emergency workers ‘frontline’ workers…

I got it: the citizens are in prison; the ‘essential’ workers are soldiers in a war… 😉

And we’re locked up for our own protection; right…

It’s worse. One of the first things you see if you enter a military base or a prison is a sign saying that you are subject to search. In other words, by entering, your Constitutional rights, which they swear to uphold and protect, go right out the window.

At least you know that when you enter…

I have a better idea. Why not conform to the rights guaranteed by the Constitution?

Well, that would mean they have to abide by the Constitution! 😉

What’s that they always say, “We’re here to defend democracy; not to practice it!” 🙂

While it is off topic, it is hopeful. I think this former Marine, now a doctor, guilt tripped these police into backing off at a protest in front of the state capitol in Sacramento.
