Pig-monkey hybrids are born alive in China

15 Jan

Yeah.

Scientists in China have created pig-monkey ‘chimeras’, looking like baby pigs, but with some primate cells, in a world first.

Two piglet chimeras were born alive, but died within days, New Scientist reports.

The research could lead to scientists being able to grow human organs inside animals for transplants, supporters say – known as xenogeneic organogenesis.

But the research is highly controversial, with scientists opting to use cells from crab-eating macaques (Macaca fascicularis) rather than humans for ethical reasons.

And how long will they be deterred from using human cells?

After all, that’s already been done, even if not allowed to come to term thus far…

And Lord knows, the Chi-Coms don’t have Christian morals…

I guess in the future, when you call someone a pig, it may just be stating an observation.

We should have never given any of our technology to the countries where the ethics norms are so different.

Well, it’s kind of hard to control the flow of information when we don’t even control our borders…

“Pig-monkey hybrids?” I see those out in public all the time, every day and everywhere. No need to breed more of them in a lab!

As for toying with genetics, I’d like to believe that God will only let us get so far with that.
Qana is not going to let His creations usurp His role and powers.

Or, better transliteration “Qanna’ .” The Hebrew for “Jealous.”

Yes, that’s what I think, too. Isn’t that what happened in the days of Watchers, though? And the reason for the Great Flood?

Yes. The construction of the Tower of Babel represents another example of God stepping in and saying “oh no you don’t!”
