Kentucky Fried Vegancrap

28 Aug

Beyond Meat and KFC have revealed that their Beyond Fried Chicken test in Atlanta sold out in less than five hours on August 27th, with lines “wrapped around the restaurant” from the moment the store opened. Restaurants only have so much food to go around in general, but this was apparently no mean feat — KFC sold as much of the meatless ‘chicken’ as it typically sells popcorn chicken in a week.

KFC plans to study the results of the test to decide what happens next, which could include a larger test or a full-fledged rollout. Although it didn’t say what criteria would be involved, it’s not necessarily a matter of looking at the lineups — KFC likely wants signs that people liked Beyond Fried Chicken enough to come back, not just that they were willing to give it a try.

I hope it was just the novelty, and paid social media ‘influencer’ shills; I hope if they’re dumb enough to roll this out that they lose millions on it…

KFC is forced to branch out in menu direction because of fierce competitors like Popeye’s, Church’s, and Bojangle’s. If it does well, you are guaranteed to see these new KFV places next door to every Starbucks and Wholefoods.

Nobody is forced to do anything.

I’ll bet you Chick-fil-A will not introduce a Beyond Chicken sandwich.

I’m positive of that. Not while Dan Cathy lives…

KFC’s food blows anyway (and has for decades). This vegan shite can’t possibly make it any worse.

Seriously, if I want good fried chicken I go down to my local supermarket and buy it fresher, tastier, and cheaper from the prepared food section. KFC, like Playboy Magazine, effectively died the same day its founder did. It’s past time to bury its rotten corpse.

Yeah, I much prefer Popeye’s, and have since I discovered it in 2000 before it arrived in Canada (which it long since has, and carved out a significant market share).

KFC is indeed old and tired…

Now if Chick-Fil-A ever were to decide to start selling fried chicken, it would truly be all over for KFC.

I’ve never eaten at a Chick-fil-A – there are none up here – but I know how popular their stuff is, must be great.
