This kind of distorted reporting is why the mainstream media shouldn’t be trusted by anyone with a lick of sense…

Dina tweeted this article from the UK Spectator about the recent spike in terrorist attacks in Europe.

It says:

It is now a fortnight since Mohammed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ and ploughed a truck along the Nice seafront, killing 84 people. The following Monday Mohammed Riyad, who said he was from Afghanistan but almost certainly came from Pakistan, screamed ‘Allahu Akbar’ while hacking with an axe at his fellow passengers on a Bavarian train. The next day another Mohammed, this time Mohamed Boufarkouch, shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ and stabbed a Frenchwoman and her three daughters (aged eight, 12 and 14) near Montpelier. Mixing things up a little, that Friday’s shooter in Munich was a child of Iranians called Ali David Sonboly. Skip forward a couple of days and a ‘-Syrian asylum seeker’ with a machete was hacking a pregnant woman to death in Stuttgart. The next day…

    They perceive our weakness?

That, and the fact they were allowed in, in the first place.

They see it as a weakness, too.

Only one solution. Deportation. Europe is not a hotel for the world. Neither is the West.

      Indeed.

Given that deportation would be violently resisted. Bloodshed is unavoidable. Europe must be prepared to shed blood.

Its either their blood or our blood. And they are already shedding our blood.

You know, Cecil, Dutch newspapers have practically abolished comments on stories like that, however, I read some Belgian ones and people weren’t talking deportation any more, they were clamouring for blood.

Alas, not surprising, given both “hate speech” laws and the fact that the mainstream media are a hive of prog-left ideology.

Like Will says at the beginning of the OP, it’s hard to imagine why anybody with a single functioning brain cell, critical thinking skills, or common sense does anything but ignore the MSM.

No, it certainly won’t. Western Europe will either roll over and let itself be conquered or will reach its breaking point and start “eradicating the infection.” Neither course of action will be pleassnt for anybody.

Oh well. Can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs, as the commies and socies used to say.

I was surprised to see Bulgaria on the list until I remembered that Bulgaria has always had a large minority of Thracian Turkish Muslims. One just hopes that the Bulgarian Christian majority is “keeping them in check,” much like the rest of non-Russian Eastern Europe is doing to the few minorities they have.

Let’s hope so; the Eastern Europeans are generally saner than the Western ones in these matters. Given their history, not surprising, that.

What’s behind the spike in terrorist attacks in Europe?

Obviously I wasn’t paying attention earlier. The answer to this rhetorical question is “an alphabet soup of government agencies –mostly American, but some European and Middle Eastern– that have deliberately fomented chaos and mayhem in the terrorists’ countries of origin for the benefit of the ‘One Percent’ and who are also enjoying the spillover benefit of seeing freedom and social cohesion destroyed everywhere.”
