KKK doing progs’ bidding, in their upcoming pro-Confederate-flag rally in Columbia

01 Jul

So an out-of-state chapter of the Klan requested permission to hold a pro-Confederate flag rally at the South Carolina State House grounds, and was granted it, even though Gov. Haley says they’re not welcome there.

A chapter of the Ku Klux Klan plans to hold a rally next month on the grounds of South Carolina’s state capitol to protest efforts to remove the Confederate flag that flies there.

[…]

The Loyal White Knights, a chapter of the KKK based in Pelham, N.C., applied for a permit to hold a rally about the flag on the State House grounds in Columbia on July 18. It was approved.

Local newspaper the Post and Courier reported that Brian Gaines, spokesman for the South Carolina Budget and Control Board, said the state provides rally space at the capitol building when it is available.

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley isn’t pleased about the KKK rally. “This is our state, and they are not welcome,” she said in a statement issued by her press office to the newspaper.

At the phone number for the Loyal White Knights, a recording can be heard that says members will be in Columbia “standing up for our Confederate history” on July 18.

As if the South Carolina government couldn’t have stopped them.

No; the South Carolina government WANTS the Confederate flag to solely be associated with idiotic bigots like the KKK, and what better way than to let the bedsheet-wearing fools march around, maybe cause a riot in interacting with protesters there?

Nothing could help the progs’ cause more, in discrediting pro-Confederate-flag sentiment as racist.

The KKK are either complete idiots, or are on the progs’ payroll – or both.

And the Confederate flag isn’t even the KKK’s favourite flag; the U.S. flag is:

I’m wondering when some Irish group in NYC isn’t going to protest any sign of the Union Jack as representing the flag that ruled over the Irish genocidal famine. Given how offensively PC the Brits have become, I’d love to watch them squirm. They’d probably take it down.

I cannot really think of anything Canada every did wrong (well, frankly, I cannot think of anything Canada ever DID, Will), or I’d come up with a reason to ban that flag, too.

I’m gonna go out on a conspiracy theorist limb here and assert that this “KKK” organization is no such thing at all, that it’s a false front for a prog organization looking to discredit the Klan, the Confederate flag, and the state of South Carolina. I mean, it’s just too damned obvious. Even an organization of inbred bigots like the KKK is media-savvy enough not to do anything this stupidly blatant and ill-timed. Sorry, but no sale.

False flag. Obvious. That’s hardly theoretical, and as far as ‘conspiracy’ goes, this world teems with conspiracies. Scripture reports endless conspiracies (of individual, groups, and nations) against God. Folks need to read it and stop playing I’m Mr. Reasonable Moderate.

The S. Carolina massacre at least showed subtlety. The usual subtlety. That was no ‘Christian’ church. But this fake KKK move is just clumsy incitement. It’ll work on those it’s supposed to, however, because it re-enforces the religious beliefs of its intended targets.

    Cheers.

    No doubt.

Incidentally, an acquaintance of mine recently mused that perhaps the Union Jack ought to have kept only the upper right portion of the St. Patrick’s saltire after all but Northern Ireland left the Union, viz.

I think that’d be an interesting flag, actually.

“I cannot really think of anything Canada every did wrong (well, frankly, I cannot think of anything Canada ever DID, Will), or I’d come up with a reason to ban that flag, too.”

Indeed. Actually, our current flag only dates back 50 years, when we got rid of the old one to try to appease Quebeckers (removing the dreaded Union Jack, doncha know). That didn’t work, of course.

@ feeriker, ray: I agree; it’s just too blatantly obvious to be anything but, surely.
