Christian-owned pizza business shuts down after death threats from gay activists

Crystal O'Connor, victim of bullying by gay activists Crystal O’Connor, victim of bullying by gay activists

I read a lot of articles on this, and Todd Starnes’ on Fox News was the most detailed.

He writes:

A small town, family-owned pizzeria has become the latest target of an angry mob of modern-day fascists — hell-bent on silencing anyone who opposes gay marriage.

Kevin O’Connor and his daughter Crystal own Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Ind. — just a hop, skip and a jump southwest of South Bend.

Mr. O’Connor and his family have been forced into hiding and had to temporarily shut down their store after they told a local television reporter that they would not cater a gay wedding.

“If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no,” Crystal told ABC 57 on Tuesday.

Neither Crystal nor her father realized they were about to become the…

What a world this would be if collectively, we accepted that not everyone likes us for no reason other than we are what we are. Is that such a big deal? I learned at a very young age that adulation is not a default right nor expectation. Maybe it’s because I grew up in an older generation that wasn’t so mushy and entitled…my parents never went out of their ways to fastidiously make sure my childhood was a walk in the park. And I’m thankful for this. Seems just about every special interest now expects that they should be universally adored by all.

I know; it’s revolting. People used to be made of sterner stuff. Not anymore, alas…

Hate’s okay as long as its against those who disagree with the PC Marxist agenda.

No freedom of religion, no freedom of speech, no freedom of association. A police state pretending not to be. Where have we seen that before???

Every ‘People’s Democratic Republic’ with constitutions that elaborately delineate the rights of their citizens…

Intolerance is OK as it’s about not tolerating intolerance. 😉

This really has absolutely nothing to do with gays or gay marriage or anything like that. This is about destroying traditional America.

Long ago, the New Rulers of this country conquered the Old Rulers. However, the Old Peasants refused to pledge any loyalty the New Rulers, so the New Rulers decided to destroy the Old Peasants by destroying their culture, religion, and heritage.

“Gay marriage” is simply a weapon used by the New Rulers to destroy the traditions and identity of the Old Peasants. These pizza owners don’t realize it but the primary reason they are so opposed to gay marriage is because they are struggling against those who rule and hate them.

    @John

”This really has absolutely nothing to do with gays or gay marriage or anything like that. This is about destroying traditional America.”

Actually it does. For the existence of Christianity is condemnation of their lifestyle just as they hate the holy and living god so also his followers, hence Christians are anathema to them. Likewise such makes gay activists useful for more higher nefarious purposes also.

I suppose it would not only be pointless, but idiotic to issue a general reminder to the marching morons and their Ruling Class manipulators that businesses are private property, meaning that owners have an absolute natural right to refuse service to ANYONE they want to.

Here’s a couple of other equally pointless (i.e., “common” sense-based) questions for both sides of this kerfuffle:

    – Hey, faggots and carpetmunchers of Northern Indiana: why don’t some of you oh-so-empowered darlings open up your own pizza joint? I’m sure at least one of you knows something about tossing dough (and tossing other things, I’m sure), so the next time a pair of white trash tinkerbells wants to cater PIZZA for their “wedding” dinner (that’ll be a Guinness Record Book first, and probably a last), the problem is solved. Of course the odds of such a request are smaller than those of two asteroids colliding with the Earth simultaneously, but hey …

    – Hey, little Christian girl pizzeria owner: why did you belt the lion in the chops to.force its mouth open, then stick your arm in its mouth and complain after your arm got bitten?

To paraphrase what someone in the comments over at Wintery Knight’s blog asked, why are you swatting hornet’s nests that aren’t even on your property? Or, to put it simply: why go begging for trouble that can easily find you without the asking?

All of that said, I think the O’Conners owe the fruitcake lobby a word of gratitude. They’re probably going to get so much new business from all the free publicity this incident has generated that there won’t be a bank big enough to put all the money in. Think: Chik-fil-A.

@ John, infowarrior1: I’m with infowarrior1; I think they hate BOTH traditional Christianity AND traditional America; they hate the latter because they hate the former.

@ feeriker: Yeah, bringing on trouble upon yourselves is idiotic. We’re commanded to be as wise as serpents, and harmless as doves; picking a fight with a temporally, currently stronger enemy, is not wise. But alas, far too many Christians today are stupid; many stay in churchian ‘churches’, after all…

As an example Paul made use of his Roman Citizenship in order to witness in Rome without reference to his Christianity.

I think I may have misspoke. What I meant was that the gays are not the ultimate problem. The ultimate problem is the elites (cultural marxists and neocommunists) that enable them. The gays are like the gun and the bullets. The cultural marxists are the soldier. Once society comes to throughly accept homosexuality the elites will find some other degeneracy to normalize, just like they have for decades. To be fair, these are godless people who hate Christianity, probably for the same reasons as the old school communists.

My ultimate point is that you have focus on the head of the snake, and not its tail.

    @ infowarrior1: Indeed.

@ John: Ah. I half agree with that, that the bigger problem is cultural Marxists in general – but… ‘progressive’ queers are a part of them, and as the catalyst, eager to stomp on Christians, they bear as much responsibility. I don’t know that they’re the tail, so much as part of the body, even if not the head.

    Will and John:

What you’re actually witnessing is simply nature taking its course. A civilization/culture dying is just like a body dying—the parasites and predators (i.e. progs) move in for the kill.

No doubt, Eric; that’s an excellent, and most apt, metaphor.

I agree Will. The snake is the snake. Head, tail, midsection. You have to get every last one of them. When in war, the soldier shooting at you may not be ‘the head of the snake’. You still shoot back.

    Hear, hear!

What did Patton say? The idea is not to die for your country, but to make some other sorry sonofabitch die for his. 😉

So, applying such logic, I won’t shed any tears for fascist anti-Christian homos who join with other progs in opposing us. They’re all the enemy, period.

And if you don’t know fascism is both socialist and nationalist which is left-wing in origin. Fascism is actually leftist. They despise the old order and have the same demotic impulses as the soviet union.
