The sovereign King of the Universe looks like some gelded schlub who just cant wait to read her next inane text message.

The next time this world sees Christ, he won’t be smiling with hands folded on his lap. He is nobody’s boyfriend.

    Ray & Will:
I thought that the ‘Jesus’ looked familiar:

    It’s Dean Daughtry! LOL

    LOL! 🙂

Imaginary Lover, indeed! (Not that Christ is imaginary, but as a boyfriend figure to a iPhone-selfie-snapping Millennial gal, that’s only in her head, indeed…)

Then they wonder why their churches are devoid of men.

Adopting the marketing techniques of evangelicals isn’t going to help the Brooklyn Diocese any…

As much as I detest the Radical Islamists, the Islamic clergy at least understands the point the author of the link was making. This is why the Church is increasing being seen as irrelevant, while the Jihadists seem to have little or no difficulty attracting recruits even from Western countries. Islam offers them something (at least on paper) ostensibly greater than themselves while the Church keeps chasing passing fads.

    Indeed, Eric.

And Rookh there makes the point rather well.

This morning I saw an ad for some new music group depicting a bunch of angry-looking guys stomping down the street and the caption read: “There are no heroes. Only f-ing enemies.”

The progs and their enablers don’t understand that they’ve really lit the fuse on a powderkeg. The corrupt educational establishment has raised a generation or two that either believes the culture is evil and needs to be overthrown (like the Ferguson rioters) or that it isn’t worth defending (like the leaders who didn’t resist the rioters).

Ironically, they may be more right than they realize; if this is what the culture has produced, as well as SJW prog Millennial twits, then yeah, the culture is evil, and as it currently exists, not worth defending.

That said, I still believe our society is worth defending, but the culture needs to be changed, made right again.

The problems with the culture are of the progs’ own doing. The progs and their ideals are the things not worth defending, but a lot of people can’t separate the two in their minds and wrongly identify with Western Culture with what the progs have superimposed on it.

I remember reading not long ago an article by someone who had visited Syria and a Jihadist showed a photo of a Fag-Pride Parade and said “This is what Christianity and Western Civilization does a culture.” The Jihadist couldn’t separate the two things are different; and that the real problem is that the progs are hostile to both his culture and ours.

The point Rookh was making was spot on: the progs are digging their own graves because they are suppressing the very elements of culture that it needs to sustain itself; while the Islamic movements tap into the resentment that the progs are generating and turning to their own advantage.

I completely agree, Eric; sorry I made it sound otherwise, not quite so clearly expressed.

And yeah, Rookh is right to make that point.
