Simpsons co-creator Sam Simon paid to save Ireland’s gay bull Benjy from slaughter.

Benjy’s owner, an Irish farmer, bought the bull in the hopes it would impregnate the farm’s cows.

But Benjy showed no interest in the cows. While veterinarians found the bull to be perfectly fertile, it was apparently only interested in the other bulls.

Benjy was destined to be put down, until the story made headlines. Animal rights organizations teamed up with gay rights groups to organize a campaign to raise 5,000 pounds ($8,847) to send Benjy to the Hillside Animal Sanctuary in the U.K.

The campaign drew the attention of Simon, a longtime philanthropist who supports animal welfare causes.

“The response from around the world has been so very…

Gay animals have more rights than straight white Christian males. The more oppressed the better.

One might be tempted to think so! Sadly, no…

I wonder if the farmer made a profit or at least broke even. If so, I’d say we should set up a “gay farm animal rescue mission” and just list any animal that is about to be put down. Gays feel better and farmers get a return on their investment. Or is all the money going to the sanctuary?

      Ha! 🙂

I presume the farmer was compensated, or at least didn’t have to pay the slaughtering fee and thus saved money, in order to get him to agree… I certainly hope so.

    @Sanne

One may be tempted to think that God in his sovereignty allowed this scenario just for laughs.

What does it say about the gay mafia that they take such an interest in the mating habits of cattle?

    🙂

What it says, actually, is they’re paranoid; look how they responded to someone criticizing the above tweet:

This, despite the changes in the law in their ostensible favour, etc.

Let me just throw in my two cents as to what I would have done were I the owner of this beast.

    I would have killed it.

Not for any animosity towards the bull, it is an animal devoid of any moral obligations or indeed moral value/significance. But the fact that it became a rallying cry for these demented nutcases was reason enough to justify its slaughter.

As for “if you can’t procreate, you’re worthless”, this is beyond silly. No, animals are just morally worthless whatever they are doing. They have practical and perhaps in some cases emotional value, but we are not morally obligated to spare them in any given situation. They are here to serve us like plants are.

Now, people on the other hand, are moral agents and have moral obligations that when violated, should be judicially dealt with. Moral evil begets greater moral evil, as I have written in a new blog entry discussing the founder of ‘gay rights’ group, Human Rights Campaign, being arrested in Oregon this week on charges of sexually abusing a minor. God is not mocked. He doesn’t give a damn about this beast of burden. He does give a damn about the horde of deviant weirdos who have made it their mission to defy Him.
