Detroit man offers to trade his house for an iPhone 6

09 Oct

Can you blame him? Who wants to live in Detroit? 😉

“I had it listed for for months. There was no interest at all. Then the seller said, ‘I’ve had it listed for $5,000. We’ve dropped it down to $3,000. And we still don’t have any activity. What can I do?'”
Mr Else explained to his client that it might not be worth much at all. Then the seller had an idea.
“Well…I would be willing to take an iPhone 6.”
The unusual listing received a lot of publicity. The news even made it to Europe, prompting a frustrated iPhone 6 owner to simply donate his phone to the seller. The publicity also led to a cash offer that Mr Else described as “under a thousand dollars.”

Yea I think a more realistic trade would be Detroit for an iphone 3

Article seems to indicate he hasn’t even been to Detroit. Snagging undertow houses from Austria, now he has a free iphone6 and a none-too-shabby anecdote. Sweet.

You’re right, Wilson; I somehow read too fast and skipped over that.

Well, good for him, not being stuck in Detroit, after all. 🙂

I’m going to remove that line from the post, before I repost this, elsewhere. 🙂
