John Kerry says America has a Biblical responsibility to protect Muslims from ‘climate change’

22 Sep

Here’s your laugh of the day.

Citing scripture, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that protection of majority Muslim countries included actions against climate change, because those nations are most susceptible.

At a ceremony to install Texas Lawyer Shaarik H. Zafar as the Special Representative to Muslim Communities for the State Department in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 3, Kerry said stewardship of the planet is stated overtly in Genesis and that the Christian and Muslim faiths are “inextricably linked.”

“Our faiths are inextricably linked on any number of things that we must confront and deal with in policy concepts today,” Kerry said. “Our faiths are inextricably linked on the environment. For many of us, respect for God’s creation also translates into a duty to protect and sustain His first creation, Earth, the planet. Before God created man He created Heaven and Earth.

“Confronting climate change is, in the long run, one of the greatest challenges that we face, and you can see this duty or responsibility laid out in scriptures, clearly, beginning in Genesis. And Muslim-majority countries are among the most vulnerable. Our response to this challenge ought to be rooted in a sense of stewardship of Earth. And for me and for many of us here today, that responsibility comes from God.”

Not much of a Scripture ‘citation’, there: where’s chapter and verse? His ‘proof text’?

Even from a perspective that we’ve been given ‘stewardship‘ of the Earth, we don’t have to fear ‘global warming’ destroying us; we have God’s own promise that we won’t be destroyed by flooding, of the apocalyptic type we’re told would result from the icecaps melting, etc.

As for the Muslims, Christians have a duty to proselytize and evangelize them, same as all other non-Christians. But that’s all. And America is just a state like any other; not a messianic nation with a divine mission to accomplish anything for Christ, period. That’s up to God’s people, not to a country or a government, per se. Those who think otherwise have embraced a heresy, frankly.

John Kerry is a stupid fool.

Besides, he didn’t even get the memo touting the current party line

Kerry also thinks the US has a moral responsibility to protect Moslems from Islam. Just like America’s responsibility is to save Syria from the Syrians and to save Russia from the Russians.

After all we have to “make the world safe for Liberalism.” LOL

Sad news: it was just reported that the US launched airstrikes on Syrian territory. Now Kerry sounds like the Japanese ambassadors who brought Roosevelt a peace treaty while they were attacking Pearl Harbor.

This is going to turn out badly: Russia and China have already drawn a line over Syria. It’s looking like the world is at about Cuban Missile Crisis levels right now. The scary part is that the Western Liberals are too full of their own hubris to recognize the danger.

Strange. That sometimes that the people of ISIS will repent and turn to Christ. In the same way thousands of Muslims via visions are brought into the kingdom of light.

I know, how Calvinist. But how else to view visions granted by God?

I would say Biblical we should exterminate moslems not protect them. Its also a practical matter

I’ve been all over the middle east haven’t seen any type of conversion around these parts

We are forbidden to exterminate anyone. While God did specifically command His people to destroy the Canaanites, the Amelekites, and others, in the Old Testament, those were specific commands; we have no such commands in the New Testament, and besides, we aren’t a national people as God’s people were, in the Old Covenant.

Those are the people who should have been exterminated but what the hell, no point in actually trying to win a war against people who only give you the options to convert, die or live like a slave

The reason why Christians are so weak in the here and now is because they don’t give the Old Testament its due

The Old Testament teaches you how to deal with out groups; the New Testament your in group. Confuse the two and your group is doomed

We are in the ambassador stage where we bring home the elect not exterminate people. How do we know if they will not be possibly saved?

Now here is how God through one man brought many of the Prison guards to Christ:

    @Will S. Sfcton

But Christ does promise us that at the resurrection we will rule and reign and bring the judgment of God to his enemies:

    Revelation 2:26-27
The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.

This is what we are to do:

    Proverbs 15:21-22:
21If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; 22For you will heap burning coals on his head, And the LORD will reward you.…

    Matthew 5:43-45
“You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’ 44″But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.…

    Romans 12:19-21
”Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave iti to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Elisha also did this in the OT:

After the attacking Arameans were blinded by the power of God after Elisha prayed that they be struck by blindness:

    2 Kings 6:18-23
”And when the Syrians came down against him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, “Please strike this people with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness in accordance with the prayer of Elisha. 19And Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” And he led them to Samaria.

20As soon as they entered Samaria, Elisha said, “O Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see.” So the Lord opened their eyes and they saw, and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. 21As soon as the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha, “My father, shall I strike them down? Shall I strike them down?” 22He answered, “You shall not strike them down. Would you strike down those whom you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master.” 23So he prepared for them a great feast, and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. And the Syrians did not come again on raids into the land of Israel.”

The man in the video loved his enemies and God used that to bring those men to Christ. Even a Muslim man used this to effect:

Indeed, infowarrior1; it may well be that at that time, the Lord will use us more directly.

But unless and until we have His express command, we must wait. 🙂

And like you say, as per the Scriptures, we are commanded to love our enemies, not hate them. And to do good to them.

Saddam Hussein, Bashir Assad, Muammar Qaddafi, and Hosni Mubarak all led predominantly Islamic nations where Christianity was tolerated. They suppressed Jihadist movements. That all changed when Western progs overthrew them (not yet in Syria at least) and now Jihadists rampage all over murdering every Christian in sight and even any Moslem they think is ‘too moderate.’

I think that the progs are actually using the Jihadists to commit ethnic cleansing in the region because they can’t export Liberalism there until the moderate Islamic elements are cleared.

so good bye to the West and our people then

I’m well aware of that Eric, they had secular governments ( but less so with mubarak iirc)

the usa does nothing but make mistakes

Oh no mistake about it: they know exactly what they’re doing.

Haven’t western leaders been using the media, academia, and the legal establishment to ethnically cleanse traditionalist Christians for the last few decades too? It’s no accident that traditionalist cultures like Russia and the Islamic countries are in their crosshairs, with the patriarchal societies like China not far behind.

John Kerry is hilarious! He is trolling the American people. Gaslighting them. First he gets plastic surgery like the aging dowager princess he is, then he arms terrorists to bomb Syria, then he tells us to love those terrorists and invite them into our homes after we bomb them, then he tells us this: “America has a biblical responsibility to protect Muslims from climate change.”

AH HA AH AHA HA HA AHA AHA! He’s effing with you so HARD, America! They are laughing in Langley! They mock you!

And now they tell you that hated Hillary Clinton is winning a popularity contest against Trump. Yes, totally! Americans LOVE voting for the shorter, fatter candidate. Especially one whose personal BRAND is “Dishonesty.”
