Daddy’s Little ‘Princess’!

A man from America has claimed a small patch of Africa, because his daughter wants to be a princess.

Jeremy Heaton told BBC Radio 5 live that he had travelled from Virginia with his flag to proclaim the area the “Kingdom of North Sudan”.

The area lies between Egypt and Sudan, is 800 square miles of arid desert and doesn’t belong to any country.

He says he has put official requests in with both nations but, as yet, neither has responded.

Mr Heaton told 5 live his daughter, Emily, took a “serious tone” and asked “if one day she would be a princess”.

“Being a father, I knew she was serious in her request,” he said. “I researched pieces of land that were unclaimed and was fortunate to discover it.”

To celebrate her seventh birthday he made the journey to what locals call Bir Tawil to make…

How fitting that this mangina pedestalizer chose a piece of wasteland sandwiched in between two impoverished, violence-ridden Third World shit holes to give as a gift to his spoiled brat daughter. May she and her daddy be forced to relocate to it and “rule” it.

LOL, that would be awesome! 🙂

You know what’s hilarious? The area is disputed, between Sudan and Egypt, but not in the usual way of each claiming it; instead, each claims it belongs to the other, because they don’t recognize the same border line, each claiming a different one that would give each of them a coveted piece of land on the coast that they both claim. So they don’t want the shit wasteland; they might well be amenable to recognizing the guy’s claim… 😉

She could have simply waited till she was grown up, then married some German ‘prince’; there are lots of them around, without anywhere to rule, but still; then she’d be a REAL princess, albeit still unrecognized by governments, but not by people who keep track of royalty. And she’d have wealth and be set for life; most of them are still wealthy enough… But I guess that was too hard, so her father took the easy way out…

I bet under his rule, the place could blossom. It must get a FEW inches of rain each year. Figure out how to channel it, and he could create a small oasis. You could live quite well, especially with the desert to protect you from marauders. Princess, sadly, will have to do a lot of work.

Hey, Libya has done amazing things with irrigation. And North Africa used to be the breadbasket of the Roman Empire, so with ingenuity, perhaps it could be so again – depending on what kind of underground aquifers are available to anybody with the werewithal to exploit it.

I suspect this guy doesn’t have it. But if he wanted to, he could enlist some the help of some royalty-without-dominions like the German princes I mentioned above, and in exchange for his daughter’s hand, take their money, and maybe make it work. Then his daughter could be both a princess as per being married to an actual prince of sorts AND princess according to this new realm. He’d likely have to give up his kingship, of course – but wouldn’t that be worth it, for his little princess? 😉
