Brendan Eich forced to step down from position as CEO of Mozilla, just because he donated money to California’s Prop. 8 campaign

03 Apr

The company that he, the inventor of JavaScript, helped found, clearly no longer wanted him, due to pressure from people on social media, as well as OK Cupid’s protest.

The chief executive of Mozilla – the company best known for its Firefox browser – has stepped down.

Brendan Eich was appointed just last month but came in for heavy criticism for his views on same-sex marriage.

Mozilla’s executive chairwoman Mitchell Baker announced the decision in a blog post.

“Mozilla prides itself on being held to a different standard and, this past week, we didn’t live up to it,” she wrote.

“We know why people are hurt and angry, and they are right: it’s because we haven’t stayed true to ourselves.

“We didn’t act like you’d expect Mozilla to act. We didn’t move fast enough to engage with people once the controversy started. We’re sorry. We must do better.”

Mr Eich has also stepped down from the board of the Mozilla Foundation, the non-profit organisation which owns the for-profit Mozilla Corporation.

That’s where the culture war is at; doesn’t matter how you treat your employees, whether you are fair as a boss or not; express an opinion the progs don’t like, they’ll go to war against you, and crush you if they can.

The hilarious thing is that a person like him isn’t part of the TBN, CBN, Evil Christian Right Club. He’s not Pat Robertson nor Dobson. He’s not official. He’s not legitimate.

Basically, these bitter modern liberals are going after the survivors who never fought the war. Basically, those who just stayed outside of the war.

Like illegitimate bastards who are hidden or passed on as someone else, this guy wasn’t in the center. Creationists, Orthospherians and Dark Enlightenment types all fit this illegitimate mold.

He’s like the surviving bastard soldier who stayed behind underground, hidden in his home, tent and whatnot. And what to modern secular liberals do? They go after the last ones, and crush what’s left to ashes.

Apologies if my last comment was offensive. I’m trying to illustrate the viciousness of the left, that they go after people who weren’t the main generals, soldiers and offensive in the war.

He’s not Dobson, or the like.

It would be akin to one country bombing another, destroying the main targets and then going after the remaining survivors who didn’t participate much.

Not at all, alcest. You have nothing to apologize for; I quite agree. They’re vicious bastards, out for blood; they’ll crush everyone they can, from the big prizes, to the small fry; from CEOs, to pastors, from us Christian traditionalists, to any fellow seculars who happen to be socially conservative. Doesn’t matter to them. And an apology almost never works. (Though Pax Dickinson’s groveling did get him his job back. Boy, did he eat crow.)

Of course, I didn’t use the word “bastard” for the left. I’m using it as a comparison of who the left is targeting. They’re targeting the remaining survivors, the illegitimate people remaining.

I know, but I’m using it for the left. 🙂

Because I mean it in the sense of mean-spirited, nasty, and wicked, and truly illegitimate, as their worldview is, completely.
