Passenger complains about female pilot; she posts his complaint and bitches about it on Facebook

04 Mar

She’s an airline pilot, a captain, but mere words got under her skin.

She posted that, and replied:

“I respectfully disagree with your opinion that the ‘cockpit,’ (we now call it the flight desk as no cocks are required), is no place for a lady. In fact, there are no places that are not for ladies anymore.”

Classy, eh? The term ‘cockpit‘ has nothing to do with penises.

Oh, and there still are places not for ladies, or even women for that matter: the pulpit in a decent church; wherever special forces are deployed; and still many other places, not least of which being the men’s room.

A female friend of mine back in high school used to distinguish between notes that were ‘warm fuzzies’ and ones that were ‘cold pricklies’, but I, and some other guys, made fun of her terminology, pointing out the obvious double entendres in both terms, horrifying her. 🙂

I think you last sentence is incorrect as it pertains to the real world and the lady pilot has it right: there are no more male spaces left in western society. I wish it were not so, but many church (opinions about decency being subjective) have female pastors/priests, the us military is hell-bent on allowing women into combat roles, and “professional” male athletes have been made to strip in front of female reporters while in the lockeroom since the 70s.

All true; my point is, it ought not be so; despite what government, corporations, progressives, and society says, I argue it ought not be so. And ladies, of traditional bent, as distinguished from women, of modern bent, will know their place, and not try to usurp that which is rightly male only.

And for now, many denominations still have only male clergy, elders, deacons, as it should be.

I sense some insecurity on his part. I wonder if he does the same when he encounters female engineers or computer programmers?

Is it even true, or another hoax as with the lesbian waitress? Some people will do anything to attract attention to themselves. and play the victim card.

    @Will S.

Doesn’t this want to make you start a secret society:

I find myself seriously doubting the validity of this letter.

    @ jack: Indeed.

@ Sanne, ar10308: I wondered that, myself. Could be. The media isn’t telling us David’s last name, after all… Of course, if it’s real, they could be withholding that because of privacy concerns, since he didn’t add his last name. Or maybe it is made up.

@ infowarrior1: Ah, the Stonecutters. Gotta love them. 🙂

I think the woman pilot made it up for sympathy.

If so, I hope it gets exposed, so she can look like the ass that I think she is in any case.

Yep. Make believe self attack. The only real attacks would be by Muslim men who would call them whores as they left the plane, (no writing, no quoting scripture/hadiths, no “love Daniel”)

    LOL! No doubt. 🙂

It’s amazing that this is even a news story.

    Because it’s not.

“Guy gets woman upset with something he says”

    Is all it is.

I mean, pull up your big girl panties and laugh it off, already.

    Sheesh.

Or it’s fake, and then it’s just “I want international attention!”

Either way, she wants it, and has gotten it, thanks to a leftist media who thinks any grievance by a woman is automatically news.

Looks like the Christian Post is upset with ‘David’ for his ‘sexism’, too, since they call it that, and bother to share this non-story too:

    http://www.christianpost.com/news/passenger-to-pilot-proverbs-31-says-the-cockpit-is-no-place-for-a-woman-photo-115680/

Churchians. Ostensibly upset about abuse of Scripture here, but not by their pastors in their evanjellyfish denominations.

I have to wonder-if a note like this gets her upset, what the blazes is she doing piloting a plane?

A damned good question. I certainly wouldn’t want someone so emotional flying me, if I had a choice!
