Black Swans on Your Picnic Table

24 Jan

This war is going to turn out badly. We are wasting lives and resources while the United States decays and other threats emerge

Now, the towers have fallen
So much dust in the air
It affected your vision
Couldn’t see yourself clear

From the fall came such choices
Even worse than the fall
There’s this chain of consequences

Action, cause and reaction
Never follows to plan
Black swans on your picnic table
Knocking over the jam

Please don’t preach me forgiveness
You’re hardwired for revenge
War is just about business
Within, without

The dead live on within us
Keep your fingers crossed
We were choking on the smoke and the dust
And the lives that were lost

Scratch the surface of liberals
There’s a beast underneath
Others hiding their Jekyll’s
Within, without

Well, if this war is turning out badly, let’s start another. US is sending an ancient carrier, scheduled to be decommissioned next year, to the Persian Gulf. Powered by nuclear reactors, it will be expensive and messy to decommission. Maybe easier to just send it to the bottom in the Gulf by dangling it in front Iran’s nose. And if they don’t bite, we can always send it to the bottom ourselves. What’s it matter if a few sailors are sent to their watery graves? It’s for a good cause! We have to overcome the reluctance of the American people. It worked for FDR and Johnson, didn’t it?

I know, I know, all speculation.

Canada has pulled out of Afghanistan; if the American government is smart, they’ll do so, too.

    (Of course, they won’t…)

Yeah, now these assholes are clamoring for war with Iran:

I can’t believe that those shit-headed warhawks are still not tired of all this war. We ruined Iraq, killed many civilians, sent many of our young men off to die, and placed the lives of Iraqi Christians in grave danger for what? Where were the WMDs? As for Afghanistan, no one, after Alexander has been able to control that region(I would say country, but it’s not even a nation, let alone a nation-state). What was even the point of trying to civilize that shithole? Afghanistan has been instable ever since it lost the Punjab region. This is all really stupid. Now the warhawks are eyeing Iran… However, if the Amerikan gov’t is stupid enough to fight Iran(which it is), as Trifkovic warns this time the consequences can be drastic.
