Three tabloidy stories

23 Feb

I just found these amusing / interesting (hat tip: Raw Sawhill):

“Zombie” Ants Found With New Mind-Control Fungi

So zombies exist…  It’s a good thing this ‘shroom is far from North America, or stupid teens might be tempted to try eating it.

Woman with enormous breast implants says they saved her life

I remember this woman from the stories about the time her first set of implants almost killed her.  Now her second pair almost saves her life.  Blech.  I hate implants.

Man suffers heart attack at Heart Attack Grill

Fancy that, eh?

Here’s a fourth: Woman accused of hiring hit man to kill random fur-wearer

“Bring a sharp knife that is at least 4 inches long, it should be sharp enough to stab someone with and/or to slit their throat to kill them,” Lowell allegedly wrote in an e-mail, according to the affidavit.

The individual should be at least 12 years old, but “preferably 14 years or older,” Lowell allegedly wrote.

“I want the person dead in less than 2 minutes (under 2 minutes or 1 minute or less would be better.)”

@ Carnivore: Incredible. Now why again is it that all pro-lifers get smeared when one shoots an abortionist, but not all animal rightists get smeared when one of their own does something like this? Hmmm.

@ PH: Yeah, you’re probably right.

I hear that Bee Gee Robin Gibb is back in hospital:

It’s okay, though; for now, at least, he’s “Stayin’ Alive”. ;)

(Sorry; it just had to be said.)
