Attention All Papists: We’re All Wrong. Again.

12 Feb

Looks like the Neo-Con “Prof.” Hale has been playing with his wife’s collection of neurotic crotch fruit. Apparently something got lodged and caused him to rant like an incoherent dumbshit:

1. To my Catholic friends: STFU. For 30 years you have been playing your social justice games here and abroad. The communist policies of the current administration are the natural progress of your own progressive policies all over the world. Chickens. Roosting.

2. Further, you have been reliably voting the Democratic Party line even though the Democratic party has been unabashedly PRO- abortion for 30 years. You have never once admonished a Catholic Democratic office holder for his personal ethical breaches of your so-called doctrines nor have you ever used your influence on them to make them grant any freedoms to Americans, Catholic or otherwise, religious or otherwise. Bed. Made.

3. Further, I happen to believe that the US government, which you in large numbers helped get elected, is implementing a policy that you in large numbers supported and now your much vaunted religious freedoms are in conflict with the law. Welcome to the 21st century, dumb asses. That is exactly how we do things in the USA. When religion conflicts with government edict, edict wins. It has always been this way. Even in Church-run lands of old Europe. In the USA, the Mormons had to give up polygamy (at least nominally), Islamic polygamy is not recognized as legitimate, Santa-ria practitioners have to stay on the down-low so that SPCA doesn’t get them. Child marriages are outlawed. Etc, etc. Now you are a big employer in the USA and the Congress passed a law (sort of) that applies to all big employers, even religious groups. That is just the way things are done and you should have seen it coming. But you wanted your cake and to eat it. Now it is going to eat you. Congratulations, dipshits. Die. Cast.

4. In the end, you don’t give a shit about the rest of us. As long as you get your religious exemptions, you are perfectly OK with everyone else being forced to comply. Thanks for nothing you selfish narrow-minded bastards. Game. Over.

Ahh… nothing like a good fight:

For years that Roman Catholic Church has taken a strong stance against communism. The RCC has supported Franco and Salazar due to their strong Catholic, Monarchist, Conservative, and anti-Communist stances. Yes, there are cafeteria Catholics who support the current regime The Roman Catholics that are against the current administration are not the same as the cafeteria Catholics. Professor Hale, due to his Neo-Con ideology has probably never heard of Catholics like Thomas Fleming, Scott P. Richert, Pat Buchanan, or Joseph Sobran. If he has, he probably has dismissed them due to their alleged anti-semitism. In writing these points, Prof. Hale shows himself to be an ignorant piece of shit with no understanding of either history or nuance.

The insinuation that Catholics must comply with government rules because various non-Christian religions have been forced to in the past is ridiculous. There was a time, before the rise of the radical left when the government atleast respected the faith and cultural norms of the American people. Polygamy was made illegal and the Mormons were chased out of every town they occupied because Mormon polygamy offended the Christian morals of the American nation. America was a Christian nation and the 1st Amendment was created to protect various Christian denominations, dumbshit, not to protect the rights of muslims, neo-pagans, or Mormons when those religions would clash with Christian moral values.

In the comments to Prof Hale’s poorly thought-out article, OG and The Social Pathologist try to knock some sense into him: http://rebeluniv.blogspot.com/2012/02/you-are-all-wrong-again.html?showComment=1328816334333#c1577186562000566590

Also, strangely enough, Prof Hale has refused to say anything or accept any criticism of the Jews but he feels fit enough to heap shit upon the Church: http://terrybreathinggrace.wordpress.com/2011/10/18/my-take-on-occupy-wall-street-its-complicated/#comment-6596 (read down)

The main question is, why is Prof. Hale attacking Catholics(a part of Western Christendom) while defending the Jews(a long term enemy of Western and Eastern Christendom)? Hmm….

Prof. Hale almost had an article which pointed out legitimate problems with the Church body, but he failed when he conflated the TJF, PJB, SPR, and Joseph Sobran types with the Nancy Pelosi-types.

Update: It seems that Prof Hale has changed the title of his article.

I can’t see any difference between Hale’s current ravings and his previous ravings. His quality level remains consistent, IMHO. That is why I don’t read his blog.

This current tyranny is the logical conclusion of founding a country on Masonic-Enlightenment-Protestant principles. The fact that a Bible-thumpin freedumb-lovin “Constitutionalist” would get this wrong is not at all surprising. There has always from Plymouth Rock to the mandate been animosity between this country and the Church. Indeed many throughout the years have seen America has founded explicitly to counter to Church.

To be fair, he is half right. Leftist Catholics bedding with government were pretty instrumental in this mess. They corrupted the idea that Catholics are called to do their best to provide healthcare to people regardless of their socioeconomic status into the idea that Catholics should use government to provide healthcare to everyone at gunpoint.

Too bad big-government types are too stupid to see two steps ahead and realize that if a secular government is paying for it, that same secular government will turn on you in a heartbeat. You lie down with dogs, you’ll rise with fleas – hopefully the USCCB has finally learned this lesson after seeing their adoption and healthcare charities destroyed by the poison that is secular government run amok.

However, to claim that this is something inherently bad with Catholic doctrine is simply moronic. Plenty of good (hell, bad Catholics too for that matter) realize that the U.S. government is not the appropriate avenue for their ministry.

@Svar, God bless you for your zeal, but I have to agree with some of what Prof. Hale says if not the manner in which he said it. The “Catholic Church” to a non-Catholic is a conglomerate of impressions generated by high profile Catholics. In most cases, that is the Pope, local Bishops and high profile laity – which means self-proclaimed Catholic politicians. We are now on our third generation of hierarchy since the 1960′s and they continue to be outspoken with generalities but silent on specifics. We are also on our third generation of self-proclaimed “Catholic” politicians since the 1960′s who have continued to undermine Catholic teaching and cause scandal to the faithful. This is where the “specifics” come into play and excommunication has a role. Yet, the bishops have rarely addressed specific individuals with punishment. Given what our society and culture have become, their proclamations on specific individuals should be heard once a week instead of once a year if ever.

The US Catholic bishops have, in general, been very receptive over the years to the taker over by government of charitable works. It may be because many of them are leftists or socialists or, perhaps, they prefer the constant source of dollars to be had by sucking at the government teat instead of having to beg from temperamental laity. (Catholic Charities and the like usually receive a dollar amount for every person helped, processed, housed, counseled, etc.)

And, I agree that an “exemption”, should religious institutions get one, is a cop-out. What is a Catholic business man who owns a company with many employees to do? That’s been the case with numerous laws and regulations for years, such as providing health insurance coverage for same-sex partners. Yes, the Catholic Church has an exemption, but a Catholic business man has no choice.

The US Catholic bishops used to have a solid voice in morality, but they have squandered it by their lack of a strong and virile application of Church teaching to specific cases. A simple google turns up photos of bishops and priests giving Holy Communion to publicly pro-abort politicians. What is a non-Catholic to think?

    @ Z2N2

Yes, I’ve heard the same from other people. I don’t read his site either but I saw the title of his article over at Elusive Wapiti.

    @ Prinz Eugen

    Exactly.

    @ Rusty and Carnivore

Yes, I do agree that he had some legitimate criticism but he failed when “he conflated the TJF, PJB, SPR, and Joseph Sobran types with the Nancy Pelosi-types.” We’re the former, not the the later. Yes, we’re the ones complaining about what the latter have done. But, we’re not the same, are we? That’s the point of this article. That good Catholics are not responsible for the actions of cafeteria/bad Catholics is something that this asshole can’t seem to realize.

    @ Carnivore

That, is a legitimate criticism. You wanna guest post?

    Very good.

“A simple google turns up photos of bishops and priests giving Holy Communion to publicly pro-abort politicians. What is a non-Catholic to think?”

Cheap shot Carnivore my friend..If this is true, then these men are are committing a sacrilege.. There are rotten apples in every religious barrel.. These so-called bishoops are certainly not Catholics.. Too many American bishops think that America is the hub of Catholicism and choose to go against church teachings..

The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church. Not the American bishops! One only has to go to the Vatican website and view the Catholic Catechism to realize that indeed these American Bishops are heretics and not in reality “Catholics in good standing”

“Too many American bishops think that America is the hub of Catholicism and choose to go against church teachings.. ”

Ahh, yes. This is a huge problem, but it does happen. It doesn’t mean that these priests are following Catholic doctrine like some non-Catholics will like to think.

I don’t know why the Vatican doesn’t deal more harshly with commie American clergy; they really should, from an institutional, “stay on message” perspective, at least…

These days, I’m always shocked when I come across someone who seems smart, and yet is actually still a neo-con.

A simple google turns up photos of bishops and priests giving Holy Communion to publicly pro-abort politicians. What is a non-Catholic to think?

Yes, I agree. Obviously there’s a lot to discuss here; the Catholic Church is a huge organization and there are going to be some bad apples. But the RCC needs to clean its house and start enforcing discipline, big-time, and I’m not sure some persecution isn’t just what God intends.

I shall consider it. Got a lot of irons in the fire. Also, this topic leads me down paths I’d rather not traverse. Will see.

But the RCC needs to clean its house and start enforcing discipline, big-time, and I’m not sure some persecution isn’t just what God intends.

Years ago, I heard an old priest say in a sermon that the time will come when the blood of martyrs will flow again, here, in the USA. He said not in his life time and he was correct since he has been dead for many years. But as the years have rolled by, I’m convinced his prophecy was correct and it will come sooner rather than later.

“Kathy, thanks. Btw, Carnivore wasn’t making a cheapshot-he’s a Catholic just like us.”

Thanks for pointing that out Svar.

Sorry about the cheap shot bit Carnivore. Did not realize you were a Catholic. I DO get fed up with non- Catholics having a go at us.

We are after all, all Christians. In fact if it came down to it, I would rather my daughter marry a good Christian man who is not a Catholic (like our Will here.. :) ) rather than marry some nominal Catholic who does not love God and keep his commandments..

If more people rallied together, and sent a petition to Rome, with proof of these sacriligious goings on then they would have to act.. This is the problem.. There are also a lot of rotten parishioners who do not adhere to the Catholic faith. They are just there to use the Church up.. Want to baptize their kids. Want to get married in a ‘church’. Funeral in a church.. Go to mass at Christmas and Easter and then forget God for the rest of the year..

Then there are those Catholics, who believe in abortion..And oh, how that breaks my heart.. These people may identify as Catholics, but, God forgive me, they are the scum of the earth.!!

Catholics, real Catholics, need to stand together. Need to pray from the heart.. Really pray, that our priests and Bishops act in good faith and do not lead their flocks astray.

See, it’s alright for us all (me included) to criticize priests and bishops, but if we do not pray and act, then we inevitably end up with the clergy we deserve.
